Glamour…

I have an exciting news… I was ecstatic to find out that on Thursday my Gluten Free Banana Nut Muffins were featured in  Glamour Magazine Health & Fitness Online as “Breakfast at your desk” along with the Photo that I took of the Muffins… :)

This morning we rode the “Puddle for the Ducks”.  It was a chilly morning… 42°F but felt like 37°F with a strong wind.   There were 2000 riders who participated in this ride, which would have been a great ride if the temperatures were a bit higher.   I picked the 46 mile route, but starting mile 22 there was a strong head wind (15+mph), which slowed me significantly.  At mile 28 I somehow hurt my right hip and pushed myself to the next rest stop, around mile 36.  I stopped for a quick bite and realized that I was in a lot of pain.  I tried to get back on the bike but I just couldn’t lift my right leg so at that point I had to give up and stop riding.   To be honest I was very disappointed that I didn’t finish but there will be more rides in the next coming weeks and it wasn’t worth finishing and hurting myself even more.

I am baking tonight and all day tomorrow.  I am selling cookies at work to help raise money for MS-150.   I haven’t decided what all I will be baking, but I will be back with recipes tomorrow ;)

    omg how exciting!! congrats on having them feature your muffin, awesome! sorry about your hip, that’s a bummer but it’s a good thing you didn’t carry on and end up seriously hurting yourself

      Congrats on being in Glamour! I remember thinking those muffins looked beautiful! Did the author just notice them and decide to publish the photo?
