PSV stands for Pressure Safety Valve. In any type of plant most equipments and lines have PSV on them… and as the name implies a PSV is there to relief a built up pressure. This week I have been calculating PSV’s all day long… a PSV calc takes a good day or so, since each PSV can have various cases to look at, but then only one case can be the designing case…. am I even making sense?
Any how, my head is spinning from looking at drawings and flipping back and fort from simulation to excel to transfer data and double check to make sure I didn’t accidently transfer the wrong number that by the time I left work I felt like I need to have PSV on me to relief some pressure…. yikes!
I went spinning yesterday morning and had a great workout. We had dinner at Black Walnut Cafe since we had a board meeting for our Alumni chapter, and since I was very hungry I didn’t think about taking a photo of my dinner…
I skipped my morning workout today and went to the gym after work with a co-worker. I have to be honest.. I don’t much care for working out in the evening. I felt fine when I left the gym, but now I don’t feel so peachy.
Dinner was simple and filling… a large salad (Lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red cabbage, red and green pepper) topped with steamed green beans, quinoa and lentils. I made a quick dressing with fresh lime juice and walnut oil.
Sorry I haven’t made it to your blogs… it has been a crazy week.
Off to bed.

I work out in the morning much better too! Not sure why but I think my blood sugar is low around the afternoon/evening time so maybe I just get drained of whatever energy I have left? Maybe that is what happened to you too?
I hope your week gets a little better Gelareh! At least it is almost Friday.
i much prefer working out in the am too! sorry you’ve had a hectic week, hang in there, one more day!
Take it easy and get those PSV’s figured out. (way over my head)
Such a simple but wonderful salad. I love anything with lemon or lime juice! I’ve not tried walnut oil though…YUM!
Working out in the morning just works best for me!
what a colorful salad! Looks delicious!
I’d consider calculating PSV’s to be a crazy week! Hang in there. It’s FRIDAY.
Ah, salad looks great. Hope you had a good night’s rest!
Sounds like a crazy week! Hope you get some rest this weekend
For some reason I love both – morning and evening workouts.
Your dinner looks so good! I recently bought some walnut oil too and love it.
I really dislike working out in the evening, I never feel that great afterward. I have no idea what PSV’s are, but my husband works HSE for an oil drilling company and deals with similar issues. And pretty much every Purdue Alum in Houston (besides me) is an engineer, so I hear a lot of the “shop talk”. Hope it all goes well!
Well here’s to a relaxing Friday and weekend!!!
I do not like working out in the PM either. I am really a morning person.
Your salad looks great!
Hope you have a relaxing evening and weekend-you need it!
Girl, I know the feeling of working with excel, AutoCad, slopeW, and a graphing calculator all day! Rest!
I don’t have a clue what you’re talking about with the PSVs but it sounds intense!
I’m not a fan of evening workouts either. For me it’s usually morning or nothing.. which is why I make sure I do my run in the morning.
Yeah, I work out in the morning or not at all. And now it’s such a habit that I don’t even debate whether to work out or not if it’s a weekday, it’s just part of my routine, just like a shower and eating breakfast.
That’s a lovely quick dinner there! I don’t much like evening workouts at all. I like having it done with early. Happy Sunday!
I can’t workout in the afternoons or evening. My body just won’t cooperate. I don’t know how people do it.
I hope your weekend has been full of relaxation!
I have a hard time working out in the evening too..the afternoon is a little better for me. I would rather wake up early, but some days the 5am wake up is killer!
